Logical Images - Pitchfork
Bridging the "Google Gap" -- Is Google the right tool for your clinicians to use to assist in visual diagnosis? A 2006 study published in the BMJ showed that the diagnostic accuracy rate when using Google is 58%. VisualDx, an image-rich online software system, was developed to help bridge this gap. VisualDx assists clinicians of all levels in diagnosing patients presenting with a rash, infectious disease, drug eruption, eye problem, oral lesion, acute pulmonary infection, STD, or other conditions where pattern recognition is key to diagnostic accuracy. With over 900 diseases and 17,000 medical photographs, it also includes the differential diagnosis of child abuse, travel-related disease, bioterrorism, cellulitis, and important reminders in regards to MRSA, healthcare worker precautions, disease reporting.
Come join us for a hot breakfast and learn how hospitals nationwide are using VisualDx to fill a significant information gap never before addressed by an eResource.
